Key Requirements
Fence Height
Minimum 1200mm from finished ground level on the outside. No climbable objects within 900mm.
Construction
No gaps greater than 100mm. No horizontal rails on the outside. Bottom no more than 100mm above ground.
Gates
Self-closing and self-latching. Must open outward. Latch at least 1500mm from ground.
CPR Sign
A CPR resuscitation sign must be displayed prominently within the pool area.
Penalties
Fines up to $26,690 for non-compliance. Insurance may be voided. Property sale can be blocked without valid pool safety certificate.
